I love the images we got from this session! Furthermore, I love the evolution of smiles from the handsome Mr. Luke during our time together. From the uncertain expression on Luke’s face on the first image to the very last one in this set, this is a great example of how it is possible to take family pictures, maternity photos and portraits of an active almost 2-year old in a short time frame. Nearing sunset, I met the Leonard family in La Vernia to document the growing family. It was a group effort, but we were able to let Luke run and explore while I snuck in a few maternity photos of Jacquelyn. He wouldn’t sit for us for the family photos, but through the creative use of the ‘dinosaur trees’ and playing in the dirt, we were rewarded with some precious and genuine smiles.
