Ryan and Mary Catherine’s wedding was simply a joy to photograph. What started out as a very uncertain day thanks to a storm knocking out the power to the entire town(!!!), turned out to be absolutely perfect. All week, the weather forecast threatened a high chance of thunderstorms during the actual wedding; however, by chance, the storms came through in the middle of the night the day before instead. Thankfully, the power was turned on well before the ceremony started and the rest of the day couldn’t have been better. We didn’t have any rain at all!
Ryan and Mary Catherine’s ceremony was held at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in LaCoste, Texas —which was beautiful both inside and out. With a yellow and royal blue color scheme and accompanying Lego accents, you couldn’t help but feel bright and cheery all day long. Mary also wore a stunning handmade dress made by her mother and accented it with special pieces of jewelry and a handkerchief to commemorate the memory of her grandmother.
This wedding really was so much fun. Everyone there that I had the pleasure of talking too was incredibly sweet and genuine. The amount of love and affection towards the couple from both sides was palpable. Family and friends assisted with the decorations, baking and clean up throughout the night turning the hall on the church property into a great place to host the reception. Add in a great band, lots of laughter and dancing and it made the night one to remember for sure.
