When I was asked to travel to Colorado to photograph my sister-in-law’s wedding in Estes Park, Colorado — I was thrilled! Rachel is the little sister I never had growing up so of course I was honored to take on the task. This was also a great opportunity for us to get away for some quality time and to see our family during all of the craziness brought on by the COVID pandemic.
Due to venue restrictions and the need for social distancing, Rachel and Wayne decided to move up their November nuptials to July and host a destination wedding in the mountains instead. Fortunately, more than 20 friends and family were also able to make the trip to witness the special occasion.
Their ceremony was held close to sunset at the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park – Copeland Lake location. Rachel’s oldest brother, Jimmy (aka my husband), was the officiant and her brother, Jesse, was able to walk her down the aisle. It’s important to note here that Jimmy and Jesse are actually twins so Jimmy is ‘technically’ only counted as the oldest by 14 minutes or so — 😉
Rachel’s sister, Miranda, stood by her side as Matron of Honor along with Rachel’s daughter, Hillary. Wayne had his son, Seth, to stand by his side along with his long time friend, Adam, as Best Man. Adam also led a heartfelt prayer and sermon for the day. It couldn’t have been any better! Truly, this day was perfect.
Pleas join me in congratulating Mr. and Mrs. McCrary!!
I see many, many more trips back up to this gorgeous place in our future!
