I recently had the pleasure of traveling to East Texas to take engagement photos with Krystal and Arron before their upcoming wedding this November. We started at the UT Tyler campus where Krystal and Arron first met — and, as an added bonus, I also was able to sneak in a few family and individual pictures of the ever charismatic Lilia. She’s full of sass and SUCH a cutie! After shots near the library and the clock tower, we headed downtown to The Foundry where the happy couple had their first date. We had a great time laughing and reminiscing over lattes. Not only was it a great coffee shop, but it really was a fun spot for photos. We even had the opportunity to sit at the very same table where the infamous date took place. Scroll down below to see some of our favorites from the evening.
Ryan and Mary Catherine’s ceremony was held at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in LaCoste, Texas —which was beautiful both inside and out. With a yellow and royal blue color scheme with accompanying Lego accents, you couldn’t help but feel bright and cheery all day long. The amount of love and affection towards the couple from both sides was palpable. Family and friends assisted with the decorations, baking and clean up throughout the night turning the hall on the church property a great place to host the reception. A great band, lots of laughter and dancing made it one to remember for sure.
I’ve know Chelsea for quite some time and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was more than happy to capture this amazing milestone for her. Held at the Granberry Hills Event Facility in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, July 20, 2018, Ryan and Chelsea’s wedding was picture perfect.
This was a great example of how couples can have fun exploring a downtown area during an engagement session. I met Nic and Katie in downtown New Braunfels, Texas near the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre on a warm summer evening. We had a great time exploring the spots near the theatre and the railroad museum before heading to a few places for drinks. We ended the evening on the back side of Gruene and then back to the theatre to pick up our vehicles. We were able to capture a great variety in a small amount of time and even got the best of both the city vibe and some more nature inspired shots down by the river. This may be one of my new favorite formats for couples! Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.
Ronnie and Sarah were surrounded by a great group of family and friends for their wedding on February 10, 2018 at the Geronimo Oaks Wedding & Events venue in Seguin, Texas. With an outdoor ceremony in February, you never know what the weather may do; however, we were blessed with no rain (even if it was a bit cold). Ronnie and Sarah were troopers and toughed it out long enough for us to get some stunning portraits. As you scroll down through the day, you can see they were all smiles. From the ceremony, portraits, first dance and beyond, you can feel the joy in each image. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Beck and here’s to many more years of happiness!
Garth and Jessica’s wedding at Branded T Ranch in Kendalia, Texas was a charming wedding to photograph. Take an easy going bride and groom, insert a fun wedding party, beautiful location and great vendors — and you have a recipe for the perfect day. Texas weather being what it is, we weren’t sure that an outdoor ceremony would be possible; however, the sun graced us with it’s presence long enough to make it all possible. I can’t begin to express the gratitude I feel for having the ability to photograph amazing families, couples and individuals near my hometown. This was a busy year! From lifestyle newborn sessions to high school and college seniors, maternity sessions, anniversaries, weddings and beyond, I was able to work with hundreds of individuals across all ages.
I have done a lot of individual portrait sessions around important life events like graduating and having a new baby; however, this was my first time to photograph anyone in uniform.
