This was my first time to work with the Miller family—and let me tell you, Miss Audra was a basket full of giggles. To commemorate her first birthday, they met me out at our property for a sunrise session under the big pecan trees. Not only did Audra like the beautiful homemade cake her mom made, she LOVED it (as you can tell from her very enthusiastic expressions after each bite). We even got a few of her with her big sister helping between outfit changes.
I had the pleasure of meeting Marisa and her family at the McNay Art Museum to celebrate her sixteenth birthday. It was so much fun to walk around goof off for a bit with her mom, dad and sister in tow. Thankfully, it was a gorgeous afternoon that proceeded a bleak and rainy morning.
Oh my goodness…I can’t believe this precious little girl is five already! I’ve been taking photos of this family for years now and I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow up in front of my lens. To celebrate her fifth birthday, we had her ‘all about me’ photo session in a beautiful field of wildflowers. She did amazing as usual and I can’t believe how grown up she looks! It’s a messy job, but somebody has to do it! I can’t even begin to describe how precious Mr. Brody was during his baseball themed cake smash session. It was a little cold outside, but he rocked it! With eyes that truly sparkled, he did so great at making direct eye contact with me here and there. It just took a little bit of ‘Baby Shark’ to coax those smiles out of him. Time continues to fly by! It seems like we just took Landyn’s newborn photos about two minutes ago, but here we are and she’s changed so much! For her birthday session this year, we met at one of my favorite spots in Seguin (Walnut Springs Park) to let her run, play and climb a few rocks. Scroll down to see a few of our favorites. Her little expressions are priceless to say the least!
I love working with the Pierdolla family! For this session, it was time to celebrate Hollstin’s upcoming fourth birthday. Although…I’m not quite sure how it was already time because it really felt like we just did his three year photos a few months ago! He’s growing so fast and is now a great big brother. Close to sunset, we met out at the Walnut Springs Park to run and play by the water for a little while. We were even able to sneak in a few family pictures along the way. Scroll down to see a few of our favorites!
Yes, I’m biased. But—isn’t my nephew the cutest!?! We were able to sneak in his one year photos and cake smash this weekend amidst birthday festivities for our kids. He did amazing. In just a few short minutes we were able to capture all that we needed. Not only was he super smiley, but he LOVED the cake. The nautical theme was completely adorable as well. Who says the girls can have all the fun when it comes to props and photo sessions? Navy and red are one of my favorite color combinations outdoors. Scroll down to the bottom to see a sampling of our favorites. As an added bonus, we even got a few extended family shots in there as well!
This was the first time for me to photograph Mr. James. This little cutie was almost too much to handle. I mean really…between the curly brown locks, sparkling brown eyes and round little checks—can you ask for much more?! So adorable! We met at the Veteran’s Park in Schertz, Texas to take a few pictures to commemorate his first birthday. Although he was a little fussy on the car ride over to the park, he turned on the smiles and charm as soon as week started. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.
The second time working with the Olowo family was just as amazing as the first. This family is so so incredibly sweet. They are the “V’s x 5!” – Victor, Vanessa, big sister Victoria and the twins, Valentina and Valerie. It’s hard to believe it has been nearly a year since first photographing the twins. They’ve grown so much! For this session, we met at the Synergy Park in Kilgore. The girls did great. It was sensory overload with all of us trying to get smiles from the twins, but they at least stayed in once place for a bit (which can be hard with two little ones at once). Victoria was all about the photos! I had so much fun with her taking individual images while the twins were getting their outfits changed out. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.
I love cake smash sessions! I met the Gault family last week to celebrate Callum turning one. We snuck in a few family shots and then went straight for the cake. In my experience, kids usually LOVE the cake or they absolutely HATE it. Callum definitely loved it!
Warning: this post contains the cutest little man and may actually cause elevated levels of happiness. How can it be that Jackson is already one? It seems like yesterday that I was taking his newborn photos. For this session, I met Jackson and his parents out at the always lovely Pearl in San Antonio. A little nervous at first, I drove through some nasty rain storms on the way in. Lucky for us, it cleared up just in time and we were able to use some of my favorite spots near the Stables away from the craziness of the farmers market. And let us all just take a minute to soak in how stinking cute he looked in all his little outfits — but, that JACKET! C’mon, can there be anything more adorable?!? Scroll down to see more…
I was able to spend some time with this sweet little girl recently to capture some portraits commemorating her fourth birthday. Individual portrait sessions are often one of my favorite things—especially with younger kids.
I challenge you to find something more adorable than this little man in blue overalls with eyes to match! Cooper’s one year session was so great. He did wonderful with several different outfit changes–including the A&M jersey and football. Seriously, he’s too cute for words! Scroll down to see more.
What’s more adorable than a cake smash session? Well, how about a cake smash times two! I’m so glad I got to work with Miss Sydney and Madysen again to celebrate their first birthday. The bright colors of their tutus were a great contrast to the glowing light and green grass. It was fun to see them interact with each other, taste the cakes and get REALLY messy. We captured some cheeseball moments, sweet smiles and their developing personalities. One thing I always forget to tell parents is to bring a backup outfit for them just in case. Sometimes the parents can get more messy in the aftermath than the kids themselves!
In this sunny ‘All About Me’ session to celebrate Hollstin’s third birthday, we sweated our booties off but we captured some amazing shots that highlighted his interests and personality. Who needs props when you can bring out their favorite toys?! It makes the session so much more personal and gives you a great way to look back and remember their favorite things as they get older. We had a great time just letting him play — and really, who doesn’t love Tonka trucks and dinosaurs!
To say this little guy is adorable is an understatement! Maker and his parents traveled down from South Austin last weekend for a quick morning session at one of my favorite spots in Seguin. We quickly got some insanely precious shots of him in his suit and then did a wardrobe change into his second outfit to celebrate his first birthday. For his first professional photo session, he did wonderfully and was a breeze to work with. I even got some smiles and direct eye contact which is no easy undertaking with toddlers!
When it comes to an ideal backdrop, it’s hard to beat a beautiful Texas sunset. In this session, we were able to capture some great images of Mr. Lane to commemorate his first birthday. He is too cute for words. Take a look!
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Miss Rease four times including some family pictures, for her second birthday and recently when her little sister was born. And now, we captured some amazing shots for her third birthday. I love her spirit! Some may not like photographing younger children who move around a lot, but I think we absolutely captured her essence by letting her run around in the flowers and going out to a country road at sunset.
How sweet is this little girl! Due to some cooler temperatures outside, we had a quick indoor photo session to commemorate Baylor’s six month birthday. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family many times, including her newborn session, so it was great to see everyone again. It was hard to coax a few smiles out of her at first, but she did amazing when it came to looking directly at the camera. I just can’t get enough of those little cheeks!
This was meant to be a mini session to celebrate Allie’s eighth birthday but we ended up with so many great shots it was hard not to share them all! This is just a sampling, but they were all great. It was pretty hard to pick our favorites. With a January birthday, Allie normally has not been able to take pictures outside so we took advantage of the warmer weather (even if it was a little grey) and found some remaining green patches of grass.
