It’s hard to believe this beautiful little girl is one. I’ve seen her grow through photos and social media posts but it was actually my first time getting to see her in person! Miss Zadie did amazing for her one year session and LOVED her cake. Scroll down below to see a sampling from our time together. Yes, we were crazy to pin large balloons to barbed wire — but it worked! Well..at least they held up long enough for us to get a few shots before they popped 😉Â

Jameson Turns One!
Yes, I’m biased. But—isn’t my nephew the cutest!?! We were able to sneak in his one year photos and cake smash this weekend amidst birthday festivities for our kids. He did amazing. In just a few short minutes we were able to capture all that we needed. Not only was he super smiley, but he LOVED the cake. The nautical theme was completely adorable as well. Who says the girls can have all the fun when it comes to props and photo sessions? Navy and red are one of my favorite color combinations outdoors. Scroll down to the bottom to see a sampling of our favorites. As an added bonus, we even got a few extended family shots in there as well!
Callum’s Cake Smash
I love cake smash sessions! I met the Gault family last week to celebrate Callum turning one. We snuck in a few family shots and then went straight for the cake. In my experience, kids usually LOVE the cake or they absolutely HATE it. Callum definitely loved it!
Jackson is One!
Warning: this post contains the cutest little man and may actually cause elevated levels of happiness. How can it be that Jackson is already one? It seems like yesterday that I was taking his newborn photos. For this session, I met Jackson and his parents out at the always lovely Pearl in San Antonio. A little nervous at first, I drove through some nasty rain storms on the way in. Lucky for us, it cleared up just in time and we were able to use some of my favorite spots near the Stables away from the craziness of the farmers market. And let us all just take a minute to soak in how stinking cute he looked in all his little outfits — but, that JACKET! C’mon, can there be anything more adorable?!? Scroll down to see more…
Cooper Turns One
I challenge you to find something more adorable than this little man in blue overalls with eyes to match! Cooper’s one year session was so great. He did wonderful with several different outfit changes–including the A&M jersey and football. Seriously, he’s too cute for words! Scroll down to see more.
Madysen and Sydney Turn 1!
What’s more adorable than a cake smash session? Well, how about a cake smash times two! I’m so glad I got to work with Miss Sydney and Madysen again to celebrate their first birthday. The bright colors of their tutus were a great contrast to the glowing light and green grass. It was fun to see them interact with each other, taste the cakes and get REALLY messy. We captured some cheeseball moments, sweet smiles and their developing personalities. One thing I always forget to tell parents is to bring a backup outfit for them just in case. Sometimes the parents can get more messy in the aftermath than the kids themselves!
Lane is 1!
When it comes to an ideal backdrop, it’s hard to beat a beautiful Texas sunset. In this session, we were able to capture some great images of Mr. Lane to commemorate his first birthday. He is too cute for words. Take a look!
2016 Year at a Glance
Wow! As a busy mom and wife it’s hard to imagine how it was possible to have had so many great sessions this past year. As many of you know, photography isn’t my full time gig, but it is my love, passion and all consuming hobby. In 2016, I was very fortunate to have a broad spectrum of clients and occasions. From newborns, maternity, extended families, high school seniors, engagements/weddings, prom and more, I met so many awesome people and started getting more repeat clients coming back to me for the second and third year in a row. I feel really blessed to be able to have this outlet for my creativity and that so many have trusted me to capture these special moments.
Rilie’s Cake Smash
This sweet little girl is my niece! I can’t believe that we were doing her newborn photos around this time last year. Time goes by way too fast. She’s gotten so big and has even been walking for some time already.
