Michael and Tiffany’s wedding was a nail biter due to the fact that up until hours before the outdoor ceremony was slated to take place, we didn’t know whether or not if it would rain! The forecast was bleak for most of the week, but when the day finally arrived, we were blessed with a sunny (albeit humid) afternoon.

Madeline Bridal
Yet again, the Polley Mansion never disappoints! I’m so glad to finally share these images from Madeline’s bridal session from back in February! It was a little chilly this morning, but we had beautiful bright light to work with. Her handmade flower crown and bouquet were the perfect accents to the gorgeous textures found inside the property dating back to 1847.
Rease is 5!
Oh my goodness…I can’t believe this precious little girl is five already! I’ve been taking photos of this family for years now and I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow up in front of my lens. To celebrate her fifth birthday, we had her ‘all about me’ photo session in a beautiful field of wildflowers. She did amazing as usual and I can’t believe how grown up she looks! Scroll down to see our favorites.
Rease is 4!
I was able to spend some time with this sweet little girl recently to capture some portraits commemorating her fourth birthday. Individual portrait sessions are often one of my favorite things—especially with younger kids.
Stanush Family
I had the pleasure of working with Kelsey a few years back to capture images to celebrate her graduation from college. This year, she asked if I could work with the whole family while they were together for the holidays. We met at one of my favorite spots after Thanksgiving for a quick walk around the park and we even managed to sneak a few smirks out of Mr. Stanush! So much fun. Scroll down to see more 🙂
Jackson 6 Months
My goodness…I can’t handle how cute Jackson was for his six month photo session last weekend. We met at the always beautiful San Antonio Botanical Garden and I really think this age range is becoming one of my favorites! At this age, babies can usually hold themselves up or even sit. They are also much more attentive and smiley–creating endless possibilities to capture their developing personalities. Jackson was a rockstar! Not only were his little outfits completely adorable, but he also did great and connecting with me and giving direct eye contact to the camera. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.
Little Rain Boots
Last December while scrolling through one of Zulily’s sales, I had the idea to do something with six different colored rain boots using my kids, nieces and nephews on my side of the family. The primary benefit of living out in the country is that we have a lot of wide open space to run around —and, it’s especially beautiful in the spring when the wildflowers come up and the grass reemerges bright green. So for this session, I just wanted to get the kiddos out in the flowers and utilize the light to our advantage.
Rease is 3!
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Miss Rease four times including some family pictures, for her second birthday and recently when her little sister was born. And now, we captured some amazing shots for her third birthday. I love her spirit! Some may not like photographing younger children who move around a lot, but I think we absolutely captured her essence by letting her run around in the flowers and going out to a country road at sunset.
Tobias & Family
I love living out in the country! You will see quite a few posts from either our property or near my parent’s house next door because I rarely get tired of it — especially during this time of year with all of the wildflowers. For this session, we kept things simple and used the newly fresh grass and flowers to compliment the denim and the bright blue shirt of the precious Mr. Tobias.
Lilia’s Tea Party
I can’t get enough of these images! I met Miss Lilia and her mom out at a park this week to take a few Spring pictures. The only caveat was that it didn’t feel like Spring at all! Although the flowers were blooming, it was a very chilly morning and we had to fake an afternoon tea party in the sun. Lilia’s personality is so sweet and she even gave me a proper lesson on how to hold a tea cup — pinky out of course!
