Kimberly and Brian put together one heck of a party at Gruene Estate! This one had so many special details making the day truly their own. The blush, cream, and gray color palette meshed so perfectly with the property that near sunset, we even had cotton candy clouds to match. From the gorgeous florals, to succulent place markers, Brian’s signature Vans, Kimberly’s breathtaking dress (and so much more), this one was a joy to capture.

Anna + Luke Wedding
Anna and Luke were married under the historic open air chapel at the always stunning Gruene Estate. It was a VERY hot July afternoon — but, other than the heat, it was simply perfection. Everything was vibrant and full of love. Their green and coral details were accented in the most amazing way with the gorgeous florals designed by Bluemen Meisters. Anna’s Bridals
Another stunning and sweet bride. How do I get so lucky!?! Anna traveled to her wedding venue, Gruene Estate, to capture her bridal portraits. This session was all about beautiful pops of color. From her out of this world bouquet to her crystal clear blue eyes and the saturated tints on the stained glass windows of the chapel, it was a vibrant and fun-filled evening. As always, it was hard to narrow down our favorites. I’ve collected a few of them here, so please enjoy! I’m even more excited to pull together from Anna and Luke’s wedding. Check back shortly for a sampling from their special day.
Miranda + Jason Engagments
The first time for me to meet Miranda and Jason was right before their engagement session in the Gruene Historical District near New Braunfels, Texas. As most couples are, they were a little nervous to get started because they had never taken ‘professional’ photos together. I simply let them know that there was absolutely no pressure and that we’d just spend time walking around and having some fun while I got to know them a little better. In no time, they were laughing, I was laughing and we had a great time. This is why I love engagement sessions so much! It really isn’t bad and I promise to make your experience easy-going so I can showcase how you really are as a couple. These two were so sweet and they had an amazing story about how they met and fell in love. I love hearing these stories and I truly believe I’ve been blessed with the best couples imaginable!
Destiny Bridal
It was a hot afternoon when I met Destiny near downtown Gruene, Texas to take her bridal portraits. Even though it was pretty crowded, we found some great textures to feature her dress. From the rustic wooden steps that highlighted her gorgeous train, to the tucked away little nooks with amazing backlight, it was all dreamy. I had a great time walking around with Destiny, her mom and her grandmother finding the best locations.
Denise Bridal
Due to COVID, I wasn’t able to work with Denise on her wedding day; however, I did get the pleasure of capturing her bridals! We met at the ever beautiful Gruene Estate (which happens to be one of my all-time favorites) to take her portraits.
Valerie Bridal
‘m so glad I finally get to share these! Waiting to post bridals is such a hard thing to do for us photographers 🙂 For this session, Valerie scheduled her bridals at the picturesque Chandelier of Gruene. Thankfully, we were blessed with a gorgeous afternoon and sunset. It was the perfect backdrop for Valerie’s elegant details and beautiful lace dress. It was hard to narrow down my favorites (as usual lol – I just love weddings!). And of course, Valerie looked stunning in them all. From in front of the
Freeman Family
For my first time photographing the Freeman family, I was able to meet them on a bright Sunday morning in the little oasis of Gruene in New Braunfels, Texas. This location will always be one of my favorites because there are so many little nooks and crannies that you can find (away from the stores, restaurants and crowds) that also offer great color and textures. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session. I absolutely adore what we captured! There were a lot of silly smiles, walking around and playing–just the way I like my family sessions to go. This relaxed approach also works wonders with little ones, but you must find a few spots with nice open shade and plenty of room to run!
Nic + Katie
Nic and Katie’s wedding hosted at the beautiful Gruene Estate was such a fun wedding. The property is absolutely breathtaking with access to an open air chapel that is walking distance to the party barn. They even had convenient houses nearby for the wedding party to get ready. We were blessed with a beautiful day lacking any rain or thunderstorms. With two individuals so laid back and sweet such as Nic and Katie, I knew it would be a great evening. Katie even walked down the aisle barefoot! From special touches like her father’s hat, blue diamonds and delicious cupcakes, this was definitely one wedding to remember. Everyone had a blast dancing well into the evening leading up to the couple’s departure in an amazing Corvette. Scroll down to see a sampling from Nic and Katie’s special day. There is a lot to see, so keep scrolling!
Nic + Katie Engagements
This was a great example of how couples can have fun exploring a downtown area during an engagement session. I met Nic and Katie in downtown New Braunfels, Texas near the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre on a warm summer evening. We had a great time exploring the spots near the theatre and the railroad museum before heading to a few places for drinks. We ended the evening on the back side of Gruene and then back to the theatre to pick up our vehicles. We were able to capture a great variety in a small amount of time and even got the best of both the city vibe and some more nature inspired shots down by the river. This may be one of my new favorite formats for couples! Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.
Dugosh / Geiger family
This was my second session with this sweet family. We met in Gruene on a sunny Saturday morning to capture a few family images and some of the adorable Mr. Maker. He was much more mobile this time around so we just let him roam and play. Not only were we lucky to coax a handful of genuine smiles from him, but we also found some silly faces along the way. This age range is such a joy to photograph!
April Maternity
How insanely glowing is this pretty lady! Not only did I get to take April’s maternity photos this weekend, but I was able to catch up with my BFF from college. It’s hard to believe that we’ve known each other for 17 years! For her photos, we choose a more secluded spot in Gruene, TX…
Smith Family
I met the Smith family in Gruene for this fall session and it never disappoints. Matthew and Katelyn did great posing for their pictures. Coincidentally, they are actually the exact same ages as my kiddos!
Kayla Maternity
It was an honor to have Kayla and Ryan drive down from the Houston area for their maternity session. It was a hot and muggy day thanks to morning rain showers, but this was an awesome couple to work with. I know they will be amazing parents to their little boy, Jordan due in the next few months.
Shyenne Maternity
Due to busy schedules, we weren’t able to get Shyenne’s maternity session scheduled until she was well into her third trimester. Then we had several days of rain. A LOT OF RAIN.
Alyssa
I was able to spend two days working with Alyssa and her mom on her senior photos this year.
Beth & Family
I wish every child had a grandmother as sweet as Beth.
Natalie
Another great senior session in Gruene. It really never disappoints.
Nick
Nick took his senior photos with his best friend, Natalie, in Gruene this year. I had a wonderful afternoon getting to know them both and their families. I really do have the best luck with meeting such sweet and genuine people.
Dohmen Family
I was so happy when Jamie reached out to me for her Christmas pictures this year. I knew her when we were kids, but we haven’t seen each other since we were probably 9 years old!
