Stefany Maternity

I had a wonderful time working with Stefany and Quinton for the first time this spring. We met at the Brakenridge Park in San Antonio one evening just before sunset. I’ve never photographed there before, so we just spent some time walking around and exploring the area. I loved the access to the water and some of the dreamy light we found along the walking paths (not to mention some of the cute ducks waddling in front of us)!

Landyn is 2!

Time continues to fly by! It seems like we just took Landyn’s newborn photos about two minutes ago, but here we are and she’s changed so much! For her birthday session this year, we met at one of my favorite spots in Seguin (Walnut Springs Park) to let her run, play and climb a few rocks. Scroll down to see a few of our favorites. Her little expressions are priceless to say the least!

Lindsey Maternity

First, let me say, how stunning does Lindsey look??! I met the Jonas family out at the Cypress Bend Park in New Braunfels, Texas, one sunny morning to capture some family photos, maternity photos and pictures of the adorable Mr. Hayden. Previously, I had only shot out there for evening sessions, but I must say, that I loved it there so much more in the morning! Even though we were in the dead of the summer, there was a nice breeze, we had some great light and it wasn’t crowded at all. I highly recommend it for portrait sessions.  Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.

James Turns One

This was the first time for me to photograph Mr. James. This little cutie was almost too much to handle. I mean really…between the curly brown locks, sparkling brown eyes and round little checks—can you ask for much more?! So adorable! We met at the Veteran’s Park in Schertz, Texas to take a few pictures to commemorate his first birthday.  Although he was a little fussy on the car ride over to the park, he turned on the smiles and charm as soon as week started. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.

Olowo Twins are One!

The second time working with the Olowo family was just as amazing as the first. This family is so so incredibly sweet. They are the “V’s x 5!” – Victor, Vanessa, big sister Victoria and the twins, Valentina and Valerie. It’s hard to believe it has been nearly a year since first photographing the twins. They’ve grown so much! For this session, we met at the Synergy Park in Kilgore. The girls did great. It was sensory overload with all of us trying to get smiles from the twins, but they at least stayed in once place for a bit (which can be hard with two little ones at once). Victoria was all about the photos! I had so much fun with her taking individual images while the twins were getting their outfits changed out. Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.

Benavides Family

This was a fun one! I met the Benavides family at Landa Park one sunny evening to take their first family pictures in more than eight years. We had great time walking around to find pockets of light where the sun started to set behind the trees. Although it’s crowded most of the time, there are many spots in Landa Park that you can find away from groups of people. For it being a mostly overcast day, we had great luck finding the light. This was my first time working with the Benavides crew and they were so sweet and relaxed during the whole session. I found myself telling them again and again that they were making my job way too easy! Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.

Spradlin Family

Thanks to my regular trips up to East Texas, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the Spradlin girls for several years. It shouldn’t be such a surprise to me to see how much they’ve grown because they are nearly exactly the same age as my two kiddos! But nonetheless, it still surprises me to see the kids I’ve photographed change and grow over the years.  This time was a little different because we actually had the whole family together! Always fun to work with, I had a great time walking around with the four of them and finding spots with pretty light around Synergy Park in Kilgore, Texas. Granted, the girls were freezing, but we made it work and it really was a lot of fun. Scroll down to see more.

Rease is 4!

I was able to spend some time with this sweet little girl recently to capture some portraits commemorating her fourth birthday. Individual portrait sessions are often one of my favorite things—especially with younger kids.

2017 Year at a Glance

I can’t begin to express the gratitude I feel for having the ability to photograph amazing families, couples and individuals near my hometown. This was a busy year! From lifestyle newborn sessions to high school and college seniors, maternity sessions, anniversaries, weddings and beyond, I was able to work with hundreds of individuals across all ages.

Jordan is 1!

I’ve been able to work with the best families! I was fortunate to work with Kayla for her maternity photos and now, Jordan is already turning one. He did so great for our session together. I rarely get such direct eye contact from the little ones under two. And, let’s talk about those eyes! Such a dreamy blue color. Scroll down to see some more of the adorable shots we captured.

Stanush Family

I had the pleasure of working with Kelsey a few years back to capture images to celebrate her graduation from college. This year, she asked if I could work with the whole family while they were together for the holidays. We met at one of my favorite spots after Thanksgiving for a quick walk around the park and we even managed to sneak a few smirks out of Mr. Stanush! So much fun. Scroll down to see more 🙂

Olowo Twins

I had the pleasure of photographing the Olowo family to celebrate the twins, Valeri and Valentina, reaching three months. We met at Synergy Park in Kilgore, Texas and had some amazing light to capture the sparkle the their beautiful little eyes. It was so hard to pick the best images out of this gallery! As you can imagine, with three little girls, we had a lot of movement and action shots. But, we came away with some precious smiles and memories to last a lifetime. Big sister, Victoria, did great as well! Scroll down to see a sampling from our session.

Kubena Family

This family session was given as a gift last Christmas (yes, I offer gift certificates!) and we were able to get everyone together this spring for pictures. It’s so important to continue to take family pictures even after the kids have grown and start leaving the house. It had been a while since the Kubena family had taken any family shots together so I was honored to be able to do that for them. This was a super relaxed session and I’m loving the final results. Such a sweet family!

Maker

To say this little guy is adorable is an understatement! Maker and his parents traveled down from South Austin last weekend for a quick morning session at one of my favorite spots in Seguin. We quickly got some insanely precious shots of him in his suit and then did a wardrobe change into his second outfit to celebrate his first birthday. For his first professional photo session, he did wonderfully and was a breeze to work with. I even got some smiles and direct eye contact which is no easy undertaking with toddlers!

Myla & Maggie

This was the third time I’ve been able to photograph these sweet sisters. Due to my travel schedule, I had a limited time window where we could take pictures and as mother nature would have it, it was VERY chilly the morning we met for pictures. We had to take a break mid session to warm up their red little noses in the car but the girls did amazing and we got some precious shots of them together and individually.

2016 Year at a Glance

Wow! As a busy mom and wife it’s hard to imagine how it was possible to have had so many great sessions this past year. As many of you know, photography isn’t my full time gig, but it is my love, passion and all consuming hobby. In 2016, I was very fortunate to have a broad spectrum of clients and occasions. From newborns, maternity, extended families, high school seniors, engagements/weddings, prom and more, I met so many awesome people and started getting more repeat clients coming back to me for the second and third year in a row. I feel really blessed to be able to have this outlet for my creativity and that so many have trusted me to capture these special moments.

Salinas Family

I keep getting the best families! We lucked out for their fall pictures this year and had one day of sun between several cooler grey days. The kids did wonderful — especially baby Joseph who I got direct eye contact from even when I kept backing up.

Michalak Family

The Michalak’s had extended family in town from Chicago over the Thanksgiving break so we took the opportunity to get the siblings and cousins together for some group shots. We lucked out with no rain that morning and The Landa Library in San Antonio was a great location for this session. The playground onsite is also a nice distraction for the kiddos when they needed a quick break between photos.

McGowin Family

I met the McGowin family at the Blue Star Complex in San Antonio for their family pictures this October. I’m not sure how I’m so lucky to continuously get to work with great families, but the McGowin’s were no different! They did great and our session flew by in no time.

Mitch + Jen Engagement

I met Mitch and Jen out at the Castroville Regional Park for their engagement session this October. They were naturals and the beautiful trees and light made it even better. I can’t wait to photograph the wedding this coming January.
